Profitability
Through Efficiency
SlurryBugs® is a bacterial slurry additive which breaks down solid matter and crusts to produce a more homogenous and nutrient rich fertiliser.
What are SlurryBugs?
SlurryBugs adds non-pathogenic bacteria and enzymes to your slurry to drive the breakdown of solid matter. The bacteria secrete enzymes which break up the undigested fiber (cellulose and other plant matter) releasing the soluble nutrients and making them available for spreading onto land, whilst producing a more homogenous liquid slurry. This makes slurry handling easier, and reduces the need for bought in fertiliser.
How many ££’s can SlurryBugs inoculants help you save?
New analysis found SlurryBugs® treated slurry had higher total nitrogen (+27%), phosphate (+45%) and potassium (+16%) levels compared to untreated slurry.
This difference represents an NPK slurry value of £2.25/tonne, equivalent to around 20% more economic value. Read more about the findings here.

Why Should You Use SlurryBugs On Your Farm?
Break down solid matter to liquify slurry
Make slurry easier to handle, saving time and fuel
Mobilise N, P, K and dissolved Carbon (C) trapped in solids
Improve slurry fertiliser value
Improve soil condition once spread (C:N ratio)
Reduce bought-in fertiliser
How To Use SlurryBugs?
This depends on the starting condition of your slurry, what is in there and what variants you’ve used. If used as advised, changes start to become noticeable after 4-5 weeks. After 10 weeks you should have a homogenous, easy to spread, free flowing slurry system.

For stronger initial treatments and problematic crusts or blockages, it is recommended to inoculate with SlurryBugs® Crustbuster SlurryBugs® Shift-It.
